I like this rock with the tree better than the one of Maple 3. I know the rock on maple 3 is stunning and more dynamic than this but I can't see maples growing in countryside that would have such rocks and I find it hard to picture the two together tho it commonly done because the rock offers such possibilities. But I like this more nature feel.

Oh boy, I can't believe that it has been 6 ( six ) years! Time flies!

These photos are taken today -- 07/12/2014.

The only date I recorded for this was going into the ground on 01/08/2009! I think I left it for about 2 seasons or so.

I completely rebuild the body. It now has more movements. I think the proportion of the rock, roots and trunk line are more in harmony too. Winter 2015 I will repot it into a proper bonsai pot, if I still don't like the proportion, I will ground it some more.

It is in shallow plastic pot, the orchid one, and sitting on top of a normal nursery plastic one.

This is the second wiring this reason and the third light trim. And I like to pull the cliche the photos does not do it justice :)

I am happy with the development of this tree.
