Thanks Steve.

I was pondering today. With the application of a photo resistor and a small circuit I should be able to get the stand to automatically turn a set amount of increments in a day.
Automatically 1/4 turning the table each day for you. :)

Thought i'd spruce the display stand up for night viewing.

Self contained LED strip running on batteries. So the whole stand spins and is lit up in front of you.

Still looking for bonsai to display on it though...

I started of by doing a whole bunch of DIY instructions http://www.instructables.com/member/Lftndbt/. Basic electronics stemed from there. The elecs I use are simple items, no programming, capacitators, resistors or hard electronics. They invlove simple plug n play items.... 12v motor + gear box + switch + battery. Really very simple, I am not good with laying out circuit boards, so prefer to work with bare minimum.

Let me know, when you go to give it a go, I can help you out if you like. I build another and install it for a small fee. :D :D :D I am actually working out atm, if I could create a viable part time business installing these. I can see a great benefit for chained off displays, as the auto-turntable gives the ultimate view of a plant with good and the bad angles. :)
