Man I would love to get my hands on that.!!! What are your plans for it Greth? I absolutely "love" the thick lustrous foliage.

Might try some cuttings again, first batch wasnt happy over summer, or hunt at the woods and forests nursery, normal nurseries are unlikely to stock it while it isn't flowering. If I can replace it as garden plant I might use it for bonsai, the straight trunk isn't suggesting too much to me tho.

Well, here it is out of the ground now, still been sitting in a soaker trough for a couple of weeks since lifting, I sooo don't wanna lose this one. A tiny replacement has turned up from the cuttings finally, so all is not completely lost if anything goes wrong.
Thinking I will have to take this to a workshop meeting and get some live advice on it, not really brave enough to tackle a starter of this quality by myself!

think I may have to deal with it like a conifer and not really expect backbudding on any material that isn't green now. This is the same bare side from the lost branch in the nursery two years ago, and not a trace of new green anywhere here.
Has developed a bit of goodly taper, which compensates for the overall straightness.
