Hey Mitchell,

I missed this post the first time round, saw the bump & was hoping for good news from you. Don't beat yourself up over loosing it, they may be weeds but they really dont like there roots being touched. I have tried collecting them many times over the years without success.

Finally, I had success with this little guy just over 3yrs ago. It sat & did nothing for about 4mths then finally started to grow, but was sluggish for the rest of the year. I put it in the ground for the next year and again it sat & sulked for about 3-4mths then finally found some feet. I dug it mid august & for the first time it didnt skip a beat, it did come out with a really good root system. Given my past experiences i left as much root as possible but cut the tops right back hard. I cut it back again on boxing day & its already throwing buds (didnt touch the roots!) Will get round to starting a progression at some stage for it, thought I would be the only one wanting to grow a camphor as a bonsai. I love the smell & changing colour of the leaves.
