Seems Walter has been busy lately with no updates on his blog but I finally got an answer
Brett,
don't listen to my crap from old days. I have learned and experimented a lot in the meanwhile and I use my method with hornbeams with GREAT results. The key is aggressive watering that will wash out the excessive salt.

Sounds good enough to me
This year I am going to up my watering I think to see how my trees go.

Wow. So many people are too stubborn to go back and correct themselves. I commend Walter for his view on gaining knowledge from experience, and for sharing it. Great guy.

I like being right,if I am wrong the sooner I admit it, I am right agian
So I try to think if I am proved wrong it is a good thing
