So, how was your day then? So many BUMPS, I hope we get some feedback.
Was going to come down myself, but life got in the way again.
Any photus to show off?

Excellento mate, Jamie did a fantastic job, he also has all the Japanese words, for all the styles etc. down pat, even some of us old folk having done Bonsai for a long time didn't know half the words, and his talk and criticque ( dont know correct spelling) were excellent, we all learn't something, Taffy came down also and gave us some interesting info, we will be asking Taffy to come down and give us a talk on airlayering and thread grafting in the near future. Oh and Jamie has you bag of Diatomite,.cheers

I hope to make it on Saturday. I was out there last weekend & saw the bonsai gear. I've been looking for a bonsai group since I came to Gympie.
James, I think we met about 15 years ago & I bought a few small pots off you, Shangrilah if I recall.

Had an excellent day and met some wonderful people I must admit being the first time talking in front of a crowd since high school which was ten year ago.

definately enjoyed the experience and would love to do more some time

I beleive Taffy's talk on airlayering and grafting is going to be a great little demo, next time i come down i will try get a shimpaku that i can really do a good styling demo on it

thanks for organising the diat James If Graeme wants to PM me his details that will help me getting your diat a little easier to where you are

Sorry I couldn't make it James, just had too much to do. I was also supposed to pick up my Diatomite from Russell at the garden centre but didn't get around to that either. Weekends are just so busy! I will try & get to the next meeting.

I enjoyed the day immensely James - thanks for inviting me, and I'll be happy to come down anytime. I was watching the faces of the people at the meeting. Watching people's expressions can tell if everything is going along well. They showed they were really interested in Jamie's talk - and I'm sure they went away with some useful information.
