don't know if i'm too late with this idea sorry.

maybe you can keep both the top and bottom part of the tree.

the branch placement looks similar to a semi cascade of mine.

pull the top of the tree down to the left a long way
then roll that lowest hanging branch over the top as the new canopy.

just a thought

Ken, Andy see here for current pics, went with the bottom. Still a work in progress. viewtopic.php?f=131&t=5614 Page 3.

Though I have trimmed out old needles to start creating branching and the jin at the top now extends down to almost the base. I'll try and get some new shots up.

i'd go with the cascade, but i wouldn't cut the top of yet, i'd let it grow more to thicken the truck up more, then i'd cut it off

G'day Ozmad, see post above, styling has already been carried out, link is posted above to the progression thread.

The trunk (not base) is 1 inch thick, so I thought it to have enough character to proceed. Didn't want a particularly trunk heavy tree, more-so an elegant spiraling one.

Here's a pic.

Never had someone call one of my trees "sexy" before. I'm still laughing...

I'll take it as a complement as "sexy" maybe an image I would like to represent.

It has had the top jin extended down to the lower trunk. I'll try and post some shots later. :)
