The shedding of the tree's leaves is nothing to worry about. This time of the year the Privets shed their older leaves and because this one was cut back in late autumn for a display and photo shoot the leaves that remained were mostly older leaves and it's them that are being shed. Here the Privets also don't go bare in winter but they do shed leaves - our minimum temperatures go to about 1 degrees Celcius.
