Re: Peter Adams Australian Tour 2011
I am signed up for the Saturday workshop and i am looking forward to meeting the people attending on that day. As like everybody else i dont have a tree in mind but i am thinking of taking a raft juni which will need radical work to do anything with. It should be a lot of fun. Somebody gave me the tree a couple of years ago because they didnt want it anymore.

Hi Bodhi,
I'm going to both Saturday and Sunday, I haven't decided what trees are going yet but have a shortlist of about 5-6. I know that Noah is going to one of the days, not sure which.
Looking forward to meeting you (although I think we may have met already a few years ago at Orient Bonsai).
Cheers,
Mojo

Re: Peter Adams Australian Tour 2011
Welcome Peter.
Not sure what I am going to bring either but have a hand full selected which I can choose from. Gonna be there on the Sunday for a workshop. But will likely also turn up on Saturday! Plus I heard there is a demo on a Wednesday night. Will try to get to that to.
Here are a few I was thinking about.
Big elm that needs some heavy carving work.

Or a juniper

Suitable?

Re: Peter Adams Australian Tour 2011
Hi Jarrod,
Thanks for the welcome. Both your trees look good. Is the elm budding at all? It can make an interesting hollow trunk image with that heft to the trunk. The juniper also has a great trunk line and can make any number of good designs. So, your choice, but it looks like a win win deal to me.
See you then.
Regards
Peter Adams

Hi Peter,
Great to see you found the Ausbonsai Forum. There is some great talent here in Australia and you will meet some of them during your tour. It will be very intersting to see what kind of material/trees they will bring.
Cheers,
Chris Sirre

Hi all,
There are still a few people that haven't payed for the workshops. This is the only way to confirm your booking. Please contact me tomorrow (03 9737 0851) or otherwise I'll re-open the workshops for everyone else.
Regards,
Chris

Re: Peter Adams Australian Tour 2011
Hi all,
There are 3 places available on the Saturday workshop with Peter Adams.
Intensive Course (Saturday 6 August 2011)
Limited to eight students per day, work should be limited to two trees per day per student. This ensures that everyone gets equal attention.
Each student receives a black and white drawing of the future design of the tree and detailed help with the specific horticultural steps needed to make quick progress with the individual tree. Emphasis is placed on artistic design and how this dictates the shaping process. The steps taken are always in terms of what is acceptable to the tree, but always with the eye on the future image. Cost is $175 per participant …
Payments should be made immediately to secure booking
Kind regards,
Chris Sirre
