Luckily there are no cockatoo around in my area. I did also cut off its tip last winter, it nearly around 70 cm, but now another the branch has shot up.
I do hope that with times, the seeds will improve.
My father has a big white pine, I think it is a glauca, on its roots, in a one cubic meter plastic pot. It has been producing a lot of big seeds in the last few years. But they are all dud. I am planning to take it over and plant it next to my black pine this winter. I have been digging the hole already.
