Ha! That was my thought too... The profile pic is clearly not the same species but they appear to be morphing into one another. It's a great tree! That base has grown huh...!

Nice tree Steven.
I am still learning so its nice when a more experienced person put up a commentary of a tree such as yours with pictures so us novices can relate and learn.
I have never heard of the species.
Looks tremendous.
But do believe the tree needs a holiday in brisbane with me for a couple of years.

I was given a Kei Apple tree yesterday, it is 5 years old now. I started researching the tree and found this awesome post and forum.
Thank you Steven for the information and updates over the years.
It would be nice to see how it looks now.
