Hey Jamie, I saw a coupe round buds on these cuttings. Not sure if they are flower buds. Is there any sign on yours?

I havent got any flower buds yet. I have been letting mine get leggy though to get as much as I can to help thicken it, good thing is they back bud well so its no prob.

if you are getting heavy looking buds they could possibly be flower buds. keep us updated on how they go as they are quite young still!

the F virens you sent up is powering on, attached to a rock already with nice roots. will get a pic for ya soon. got a lot of branch development to go as I have only given trunk movement at the moment.

Thanks Antt. It was good stock to start with. This is one of my favourites! I love hawthorns and they seem to do well here in Brissy. How are yours doing up there?

And this winter... I found it a pot. It is 65cm long and 45 cm wide and in a shape of a leaf.
I like how this raft is heading. It is one of my very first bonsai progressions since I started bonsai over 2 years ago. This shows the tree's progress and also my own progress at learning this art. Thank you so much Ausbonsai and all the members here. I have learned so much from you and still have a lot more to learn.
Any comment or suggestion about how this one is well come.

It is a wonderful setting kvan and the progression is excellent. A question though I personally think it would look better with the connecting root system sunk lower into the dirt maybe only a half to quarter showing, What do you think.

Good point Bodhi it does need to be embedded

Thanks Bodhi and Antt. you made your good point there. It has a lot of roots and the pot is rather too shallow. I'll see if I could embed it more in the soil or ...find it another pot.
