Great work here Steven It takes things up a level or two and will be good for a teaching/critique aid. It has been done on video (John White filmed one of Megumi Bennet's trees after she had styled it) but this give the viewer total control as to what they wish to view.

I'm a web developer myself and can appreciate the time and effort it would take in making the 360 application.
Congrats and thanks to all those involved on this revolutionary addition.
I can imagine you guys will be bombarded with photos and requests.

Thats for certain!(you will be bombarded with requests).

It is now for everyone to make sure their trees are in absolutely top condition and shape for the photographic process that will highlight all the good points and hidden treasures of their trees in the round.

would you consider using it for a piece of material that has not been trained, so viewers can get a realistic view before offering advice?

If the work load is possible maybe there could be two bonsais of the month. One for major rework or initial training/styling and also a more refined bonsai for feature.

Maybe Chris could do one of his online Pine workshops using the 360 display to show what he wants to acomplish at each session.

I think that would be a fantastic teaching application for this technology. Great idea!

I just looked at the 360 posting.
A personal congrats and well done. I can find my way around a computer and that's about it. I can't comprehend the work and expertise to get it up and running.
Reading the replies, I'm sure that you will be inundated with requests for trees to be done in this format.
Wouldn't it be great for enthusists or for that matter the forum, to have a gallery of trees done in the 360 format, especially those that do a powerpoint presentation

I must say, i think a gallery for each member would really benefit all on this site. However, i do understand that it would take much more space, and thus cost more for you? Sorry, I'm not too computer literate myself.

Well done of the 360 creation, it is absolutely the single BEST thing that any forum has, IMHO. It blew me away when i first used it, and i constantly find myself clicking the link over and over again to make sure its real. Amazing!

Amazing to see. Fascinating from both 'bonsai' and 'technical' perspectives.

Well done doesn't seem quite enough to express my admiration and anticipation. Having seen the 360 lights, how can I go back to fixed-position farming?

I have as you know tried but tomorrow I am going to look for a new tripod that does not move when I press the the button on the Camera.
Also I have redone the lime sulphur on the Baekea. So I might try that one, as well. By the way do not listen to the Septics when they say to use acrylic paint with the lime sulphur. It is an absolute Bastard to remove when you need to re apply. I hope I have more luck this time. Cheers

Hey pup do you have a timer feature on your camera. I was having the same trouble but then I used a 2 second timer so all hands were off when the shot was taken.
