They are looking good, with all the rain we have had, I have had a bit of yellowing off on a few needles. We have had our average yearly rainfall already this year.

I am taking one of the JBP's to the Toowoomba Bonsai Group to do some wiring with the new guys. Beautiful trunk will make a top slanting tree when it is finished. If I can remember I will post some pictures after I have finished.

Cheers

Mark

Hey Mark

Good to hear the pines have held up well. I bet for a few weeks most had bricks under them at one end, to help them drain. :)

A couple of pictures for you of some pines wired earlier in summer. The needle development was very quick once the sunlight was allowed in. :tu:

Just wanted to share a couple of trees with the members. Just wanted to show the aerial root action on a fig that have started to fuse with the trunk.
Also a nice Japanese black pine with some radical trunk movement. Still trying to decide what to do with the apex/ angle etc. Any suggestions would be great thanks.

Although it's just 20 minutes away it was only this morning that I first got down to meet Mason. The trip was just a look & see after taking my mother around the garage sale....it quickly turned into a look, see & buy trip....

Walked away with this little collection of 3 maples, a black pine & a juni.

While I see something in all of them, there was one that really said pick me!!!!
maple_002.jpg
And then it yelled 'take me this way!!!!!' (please excuse my infantile paint skills. :P )
maple_001.jpg
Now just to find or create a rock to match the vision.......

BTW, the maple is sitting on a marble turntable we picked up for $2 at a garage sale on the way down. :P

Thanks Mase, hope the kids enjoyed the festival.

Cheers

Hi Mark

Sorry about the slow reply, great to meet you and your Mum the other day. I hope you enjoy working on your new little trees.

Here is a little picture of some recently dug junipers in July, settling in nicely. Not much die back so fingers crossed they keep shooting ahead.

And a nice stumpy fig, check out the can for size of this little puppy.

Progression series of a tool roll

Here are a couple of pictures of the Australian Made tools rolls proudly being produced / banged out in my garage in Huskisson NSW.
P1060965.JPG
They are not finished just yet but on the home stretch.
I will be getting individualized embroidery done for each tool roll sold, depending on what people want embroided. Eg. My tools or , I am the giant amonst my trees etc. If you have any suggestions for embroiding let me know.
Here are some of the steps which includes one cow hide, blades for cutting , colours , temp lets etc .

The tool roll with the scissors in it was a test run with stitching and has many errors , but at least it will give you an idea of finished product.

Nice!!! I'm sure there are many witty intelligible bonsai quotes that could be embroiled in them!
Perhaps "my other club is the internet"...

" When my bonsai stops growing I know its dead"
