Not sure if i uploaded the exact photo but the shot below is of a bunch of corky bark black pines that were $300-400 to give you an idea of quality. Trees really were only expensive if they were Yamadori (collected) as you can no longer collect in Japan.

Just letting you all know that i am in the process of posting the last 3 galleries to my blog. There are some hiroshima nursery pics, hiroshima sale day and a very nice nursery in Okayama.

Man those trees are so cheap, 5000.00 yen equals around 65 bucks, 18000.00yen is around 230...wow

the praying mantis is made from bamboo. They are use sometimes in displays and are freakishly expensive. I saw one which was around $1000. Some of them are beautifully detailed and all hand carved.
As for the prices, yeah they are super cheap for average material. Even cheaper if you know someone in the buisness
