Hello Peter,

I was wondering if you had a recent picture of your beautiful oak?
I was born and raised under very old Oaks and have a very fond affection to them. I have acquired one a year ago and wondering also how well they cope with root pruning? I live in Brisbane and it seems to handle the heat/humidity very well. It is though due for a repot next spring...
Thank you once again for sharing pictures and knowledge on such a magnificent tree.

Amazing tree!
Hadn't seen this tree to this point.
Another awesome specimen Peter!
I too would love to see more.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hi Pierre and Boics,

Thanks for the positive comments.

After the NBPC competition 2013, and only achieving the runner up label, I sold it to a Bonsaiest in Melbourne. This and 2 other mature trees were sold to pay for a covered trailer so I could transport my larger trees.

I root pruned at bud swell in spring every second to third year without any detrimental issues.

Regards,

Peter
