Wow! Each and every one of your bonsais is a work of art, Bonsaiboy50. Thank you for sharing those pics. I'm clearly underfeeding my figs. What's your method? Think I'll pop out back and drop some more fertiliser. Cheers Shane.

Hi , Thanks spooky glad you like. Feeding depends on what stage your trees are at. For younger trees that you want to fatten up or develop more branching i will fert once a month with nitrosol or any fish fert. For more established trees I use half strength monthly most of the year, i sometimes skip a few weeks in the middle of winter depending on the season. Too much fert results in long spindely growth with course internodal spaces. All my figs have slow release fert in the potting mix when repotted. The biggest facter is time.

Hi Bonsaiboy,
Thank you for posting up some Fig Porn, Your Figs are something to behold and are amazing. From the trunks to the fantastic ramification, each one could tell a story of its own. They are a credit to you and something that I definately will strive to achieve myself with my own Figs (give or take 10-15 years). Thank you for sharing and I too eagerly await updated photos. I also like what you mentioned in your last post as I couldn't agree more, there is nothing that can substitute time in Bonsai.
Cheers
David

Hi Ficusboy, The main tree was collected around 30 years ago. Most of the others are grown from seed . The smaller tree to the right and in front is a fusion of around 6 seedlings , I had a heep of seelings left over and only one more pot so I just tied them all together.I will post an updated pic as soon as it stops raining cats and dogs .

How did the banyan start how was it when you collected
Like
Was it just a single trunk without those branches
Did you graft the branches
And do you have any pics of when you collected it
