Lol,ok, at least I don't feel so stupid now! I thought I was missing the point, but you're just taking you're time with it.

another 5 hrs of carving today. got the drills and spade drills out first to get the bulk of the wood out. then the dremel with my new termite bits, which are a gem to use. another session is still needed to get even finer detail but at least now i can relax and do it as i like.

last weekend i did a bit more carving and then some burning. it will need further refinement next winter but the tree has now started to open buds so today i had some spare time from work and decided to come home and do a repot on it. what i thought might take a couple of hours ended up a 4 hr. gig. heres a couple of pics with his pants down. tomorrow morning i'll get some in its training pot.
