Re: NATIVE BONSAI CLUB
To be honest I only heard about this a few days before the BFAs meeting yesterday.
At the meeting a number of the BFAs delegates, if not all, including myself signed up.
Great idea! I have some nice native specimens coming on in the ground and growing pots.
I am apprehensive about re-potting natives as I have little experience and have recently killed a couple of beauties.

On behalf of the BFA STH, we wish the new Victorian native bonsai club a great future. I will be there for their first meeting, and will become a member on my arrival. Well done folks, it is a credit to see such enthusiasm being generated. miyagiman.

Re: NATIVE BONSAI CLUB
Hi Marcela,
Great idea .....
but - and there's a big BUT ..... Your meetings clash with our general club meetings and your opening night is on our AGM night!!!
As you guys know we’ve got quite a few members with not too shabby natives and I’m sure who would like to be part of it …., but you can only be at one place at the time!
Anyway, good luck and lots of members!
Regards,
Rudi

Hi Rudi, not speaking for Marcela, just me, I would imagine once up and running the club will send out details of how things are going and ask for suggestions for a night that suits all.

Re: NATIVE BONSAI CLUB
Hi All,
Thank you for the well wishes,at this stage we will meet on the second Tuesday of the month. As myself and the other co-founder are involved in a couple of other clubs we had to go with a day which suited us both. This could always change in the future, after all we didn't know what the response was going to be like. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have already become members.
Without your support there would not be a club, thank you to BFA Southern for believing in this also and for their support.
Reminder to everyone interested:
Date: TUESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER AT 7.30 pm
Venue: HARRY ATKINSON CENTRE, COBURG LAKE RESERVE,off MURRAY ROAD.COBURG.
Hope to see you all there.
Regards,
Marcela

Re: NATIVE BONSAI CLUB
I drive past the venue often so this week I stopped and took some pictures of the venue and location so that people can find it easily in the dark. The carpark is in Lake Grove a small dead end street off Gaffney Street.
It looks to be a nice venue with lots of parking and beautiful park surroundings of Coburg Lake Reserve. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Q: Why are we all here?
A: Because we are not all there.
