Interesting idea to only work one side of the tree...

Maybe Grant/Leigh could chime in and let us know how the monster at the Collection is treated?

All of my Radiata have been recently dug (1-2 years) or still being worked in the ground so I haven't got anything at a refined stage yet, I have acres of the stuff so I am very interested to see great examples like these. Thanks Joe and John.

There are a number of really nice Radiata at the North GSBF collection too.

There are a number of really nice Radiata at the North GSBF collection too.
Since that's in California, they are most probably Monterey pines. I'd give a lot to be able to compare close-ups of Mr Kinoshita's pines and Jow or John M's modern radiatas.
