Hey Watto, Thanks for the post, the stand is looking good. I must experiment with a few different finishes on my tables too. I have been stuck in the poly. satin finish like forever! I had never thought of mixing 2 or even 3 different finishes on top of each other. I have at times cut my finish back with a fine wire wool and applied a teak wax to the surface and buffed it to a sheen, I must admit that does look good but does not seem to last and I have to re apply every time I use the stand.I'me just finishing one off now and have put my final coat of poly on when I came in and read your latest updates, now I am :lost: :palm: All the best, Michael.
