Morning All
I too was at the Callistemon Dig and came away with 12 gems.
Soaked in seasol, repotted, trimmed and kept moist. All have have new shoots except one. this was the one I really hacked at the roots.
These are some of my plants

I think the difference between ours is that my ones were pulled out with a lot of force. Some even pulled using ropes tied to the ute. Many simply twisted and turned out of the grounds. Because i needed these for hedging, i needed quite a bit and i knew if we started digging these one at a time carefully, we would have run out of energy. Still green under the bark. Just need some patience.

of all the trees I collected, 2 browned right off and looked dead, but happy to say, one of those has burst forth with new shoots.
It has been in the shade ( under a large callistimon), and watered daily. Seasol 3 times a week.
Happy as

the last one is still looking dead but will leave it for a few months and see.

Ken, do you think it may have dried out.
Out of my 12 collected one hasn't showed any sign of life, but I think I hacked the roots too much.
Looking forward to working on mine and seeing what magic you weave on those you collected.

Most of mine have dried off as well but 2 have now shot back again. These have been moved out into a corner and will be watered. I don't need them till spring next year so i have time to be patient.

that one with the green leaves? If so that is fine. It may just be sulking but as it is still green you are all good.
@Bonborn, good that yours are showing recovery too. Take your time now and let then recover their vigour.

Took some photos on the weekend of the ones I have remaining.
I have done the initial styling and future direction planning on them all and removed the unneeded brnaches and trunks where appropriate.
Mostly they were repotted in late spring.
they are all growing strongly and should have a nice branch structure and future direction for the Ausbonsai Sale day in a few months time.

They are doing great.
The top one is now residing in Brisbane with BougyFan, another was sold at the Ausbonsai sale day.
The others are growing nicely and will stay in my possession for quite a while now.
The biggest one needs lots of carving to reduce the stump, but should develop over the next few years I hope:-) but is inneed of some more pruning back
