All in all a very enjoyable experience, topped off with a visit to Leongs' Bonsai South where my wife then proceeded to try and buy $1500 worth of trees - yes, trees! Sorry Leong... May be next time..
Has she tried to convince you to relocate to the east coast yet?
Haha funny you should ask that...!
If she hasn't tried, the children certainly have!!
Cheers

Sorry Mods - is this acceptable?!
I remember that bougy. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there is a bougy (or something similar that flowers) at Ray Nescies out the back in a foamie. It's almost 2m tall, on the left when walking to the back behind the white shed.

Was that you I bumped into out the back of Rays? [ Jarad quote]
If it was a middle aged bloke in a grey shirt rushing to the amenities block.. Yes.

Must have been a different people.
The bloke I spoke to wasn't impressed when I offered to help him carry a large tree to his car if his wife bought it.
...I had no idea Rays had an amenities block...

Yep, we were here today (used the amenities block, too). Since my wife loves bougies, she pounced all over it (not literally), but she loved it - there were 2 or 3 of different sizes including the giant (nearly 6' tall). Loads of specimen all over the place; like being a kid in a toy store...
And I thought the 'look' of the display was awesome! Truly Australian in its style - love all the rough wood stands a real contrast to the refined and detailed stands I've seen in pictures else-where...
Cheers

There is definitely some quality stock there. ...I still have no idea where this rumoured 'amenities block' is... Is it an actual toilet or have you just nicknamed a group of trees?

Anyone got pictures of the overall look of the show? Don't the Nepean mob own any cameras? Perhaps they don't have phones as Penrith is a black spot? Congrats to Watt (from Goulburn) for posting his pics.

Acer buergerianum - Trident Maple (Formal)
Casuarina turolosa - Desert She-Oak (Group Planting)
Larix kaempferi-Japanese Larch (Formal)
Olea europaea - European Olive (Multitrunk)
Ficus salicifolia - Willow Leaf Fig (Saikei)
Juniperus prostrata - Prostrate Juniper (Literati)
My favourite was the C. turolosa group planting.

The amenities were directly across the carpark from where club members were providing advice.
