What you have to remember is trunk chopping is done to achieve a variety of outcomes. I would recommend googling "trunk chop bonsai" and you will see a lot of guides in both video and written form about the subject. You will no doubt come across something similar or interesting that you will want to emulate.
Just give it a shot and let us know how you go.
This will help you develop your own skills in styling as well.

So I got myself a few new little plants!
With this fig, is it okay to cut the leaves and branches or should I let it grow?
What do you think of these plants?

Firstly, I would slip pot them all into bigger grow pots.
Then, for the figs plenty of fertilizer, plenty of water and plenty of Sun and they will explode with new growth.

Yeah I've got them in bigger pots now. With fertilizer and heaps of water I hope they grow fast

So I've done a big cut on my jade tree taken one of the main branches off and then removed a few more here and there to crate a bit of shape. It's still quite tall and I'm not too are where to go from here

Any advice?
