Any photos of sellers' raw stock? After good sized conifers mainly.

The 3rd tree has been intentionally scarred and bent to represent "An Old Man Welcoming You To His Bonsai Garden". It was defoliated a few weeks ago and is budding back really well.

One of the 32 Pines. This one has been extensively worked over the last 2 years and has good, compact needles and is in excellent health; it was repotted 2 years ago and is OK for another year or two in its current pot. It is in a high quality Chinese pot. It may not be evident in the photo but there is an interesting "twist" to the bark and some interesting dead wood/shari/jin as well. Next step would be some refinement of the deadwood about 80% up the trunk. I left it while the tree was recovering its vigour.

In a deep Chinese pot but would be better in a shallower but larger pot. I would also thin out a bit more of the branches once in its new pot.

Agree was a great turn out, looked like more people than last year, and have to say thanks to the sellers and organisers for putting on a great event.
Would liked to have stayed and chatted but had to dash...did pick up one native though. Looking forward to next year!!

Great day, great organisation by Steven and crew and kids, great chocolates, good coffee, good lunch and drinks service and lots of vendors and buyers.

Steven asked me if there was any way it could be improved and I couldn't come up with a single idea.

Any thoughts or suggestions from buyers or sellers out there in Ausbonsai Land?

I agree, not much in any way to improve except in ways to secure purchases for customers while they are still browsing other stalls?

I would think that is really up to the stall holder where the goods have been purchased and is the responsibility of the vendor. It is in their interest to be nice to customers.
