with a 25 degree temp difference to sat I decided to do a little pine work . Just some pruning and thinning . Last year I did it in mid march and found it was too late before the temps dropped and I got little new growth . This year I didn't prune as heavy or pluck. Ill assess mid autumn and proberly needle thin then. Most trees need wiring that ill do in autumn . heres a few I have about 15 all up and that's enough for me that includes 12 Japanese black, 1 dwarf ,1 red pine, 1 mugo currently in Canberra .

this one I grew from a seedling, ground grown 4 years than a training pot 2 years . 3rd year in a bonsai pot

Good potential , haven't been game enough to work on that dead stump. Maybe Jow might have a go when he is up next

Such a nice day today here so while i was repotting thought id snap a few shots of the bonsai area in late july. Ive got about 90% of my deciduous trees done. Conifers really need a good prune and wire this year especially the large cedar As soon as bud swell or when Jow gets here hint hint mate........ im hoping to get into the grow bed this week to remove a few crabapples and seji elms

That my lord, is a large yellow arrow.

Probably Paint or Photoshop origins.

Dare I believe that it's the mythical golden arrow from the lost city of Trompenspod?
On your horse and after it. Put down your gruel and pig tails and leave forthwith!
