Hello Mase, i was thinking of you and Steve just the other night. As i was trimming these 2 back. They got off to a late start this year and went rampant in a short time. Amongst al my other trees i am now getting round to them. Will wire soon and show you. Sorry for the delay and thanks for keeping me on my toes.

BUMP guys Need inspiration and a few tips as far as defoliating Benji's

Benji's defoliated at the wrong time seem to get die back due to a lack of sap flow to the smaller branches, other figs don't seem to struggle with this, but defoliate from spring to no later than new years eve was the best advice I was give years ago and it seem to work fine with all of my figs!

I might leave it till laaatttte spring, early summer to do it. Its in the ground so hopefully that accounts for something, thanks for the tip.

What a fantastic transformation from a leggy near death pot plant to this thriving bonsai! Inspirational stuff. Well done.

This has been a great tree to learn from, I have learnt an immense amount about Benjaminas from it.
I am not sure if it has finished teaching me all it knows, but I look forward to the lessons of future years
