damn ash that is some fine work for a first crack at virtuals

eats mine up for breakfast, and probly lunch to
so i got bored tonight and remembered we didnt have much time left for this month so i done another one, yes i know, three in one month gawd!
i was looking at my first couple and thinking this just doesnt feel exactly right, the size of the trunk, the movement, then it hit me, these look like yard bonsai you see in japan and china, so why not make it look like that?
this one would be of large porportion upwards if not larger than a metre tall, so after some more growth from my original idea (first entry) and a bit of a fater base, the same style pot only larger, much larger to support the root system and here it is
virtcomp3.2.jpg
and i think it was in the words of john naka "to make an apex you should grow a tree ontop of a tree" (i am pretty sure thats john naka) no whether or not that works for deciduous as it is for conifers im not sure, but it works for me

Thanks Jamie, Good on you for getting stuck into it too.
Leigh my previous post for your cork oak showed only the winter view (my favourite) so I have also added a 'summer' view as well. The trunk curve is unchanged- just tilted a little to the right.

Not that it will count against anyone's entry - but the cork oak is an evergreen tree. Cheers, Leigh.
And the defoliated version does look good too!!
