mate if it is green you should have no drama, it will pop around the top no worries, pretty sure anyways. give it time and feed it up then step back

some new aerial roots, probably gonna prune those back. really just want a simple tree without aerial roots all over it. just that my microclimate promotes them...

Love these Port Jacksons. I have 4 at present, but still waiting for the trunks to thicken heaps before doing anything with them.

This is my biggest Port Jackson. I like the aerial roots as some are spiralling down the trunk and I hope they will swell and fuse with the trunk to thicken it. In this tropical climate the aerials go nuts.

you should tie those aerials around the trunk with some degradable rope so that it really takes, and thicken it certainly will!

I was worried about breaking them off. When I repotted this PJ, I managed to break off nearly every aerial root. These are what have regrown in 3 weeks. There are four which are spiraling around the trunk, and are already 'stuck' on the trunk, which if they thicken and fuse will add nice interest to the trunk as well as thickening it. The others I am afraid to touch. What do you suggest?

after having a closer look, my opinion is to wait until those aerials harden before touching them. at their current state theywill break off easily. wait til they hit soil and go a bit darker and then badabingo!
