Hi Andrew Sadly mate that was the slow grow method for all of the plants with that method but repotted into straight diatomite and is going great guns

Tone...hows team Fastgrow going with your green island fig? ....Dog

Team NoGrow Mate what I was already doing was way more beneficial but I gave it a red hot go with a few plants and none of them really grew any quicker I even played around with drainage but does not even come remotely close to straight diatomite with power feeding.

That's no good that it did not give to the results that you where hopeing for
But is good to no that in your climate this method dosnt allways work. Thanks for the info I think I will just stick with the Diatomie as it seems to be working well on my other figs

Hi Ketutg..can you post any pics of your grafted fig? It would be interesting to see graft height,scarring etc, sorry to Tony for the highjack....Dog.

Hi my mate is currently borrowing my camera so cant upload any pics. I found this picture on the web which is a lot like mine except for my trunk is a different shape. my trunk has a scar as it was trunk chopped and the graft is where this chop is. i will put pics up when i get my camera back

Thanks Ketutg....That looks like a grafted "pot belly" fig ..I was kind of hoping that you had a Moreton Bay base with a small leaf graft on top to check out! I've got some spare seedlings to experiment with next late spring! ....Dog.
