Rod; That virt is the ticket for that juniper!

dayne probs solved.

i will say though, that when you do that kind of shari up the length of the trunk, wrapped, spined and wired properly, get the trunk bender's out, it will bend like butter and therefor can be compressed further.
Jamie; For the tree as is in Rod's virt, i like the drum pot the best. How ever, in the last couple of years i have conformed to believing that a juni looks best when the live vein has been brushed and polished and the
pot depicts these
colors.

speaking of drums pots, i do like the first couple of choices like you guys, but i am really liking the pot i used out of ants pic too! its a tough decision, but at least you can see the tree in these pots before deciding!

Still laid up Jamie? Mate I know the feeling , gives us more computer time though! I will have to get you to show me how to attach pots in virts, I have done it a couple of times , then I can`t remember how I did it.

thanks guys thats a real nice pot might have to do an order from japan for a tokoname needs to be 11' by 3''deep insied measurements

yea mate, workers comp i am on now. cant work at all

does give me more time for bonsai when i can move though, digging is a no go at this stage, operation could be on the cards

bit scared bout it actually.
as for the pots in virts no prob mate, i will either show ya when we catch up again or will write up a how to on it and email it to ya

i know its a typo

i think 11 inches will be a good size for this tree.
good luck hunting it down, i actually have a pot that size

probably the right colour too.
i will measure it up for ya tomorrow and we might be able to sort something out!

Hi all, This is the best post i have seen for a VERY VERY long time, lets hope we see a lot more trees up to this standard in 2010 great work.

just an update this tree is going for gold i have just started pinching back again now starting on the strongest branches to push strength to the weaker ones will post some pics in the light tomorrow i hope
