thanks mate
I have enjoyed working this one immensly, especially being a benji and how much of a challenge they can be, this one is just doing practically everything right that benji arent supposed to do

it is the midnight beauty variety aswell so it gets the dark leaves which is nice and I think I said before about the leaf size on it, but they are all between 12-15mm long and 7-10mm wide if that or there abouts

the other thing I have noticed with this variety is the internode length, ubelievable you would have to see it to beleive it, will get a pic of the tight internodes, which is another plus for an otherwise variety which gets a bit of a bad name.
up here we get some good growth

we do sacrifice some of the cooler climate species for this though

Nice! This one is definitely a favourite of mine from your collection. it looks so much like a big old fig especially with the tubular look on the trunk from fusing them which is a good characteristic of figs in nature.
What are the dimensions of this one? if you dont mind

gday mate
tree dimensions for this one are around -
height - 500mm
width - 650mm
trunk - 100mm (fused from around 7 trunks originally)
root spread - goes to the edge of the pot, I want it to develop like this with really long root spread to create what we see in a natural grown tree with large spreading, fissured like roots.
cheers

Nice! thanks mate, its bigger than i thought it looked.
thats the way, i like your thinking trying to replicate what nature gives us, you'll end up with a much more convincing image hat way.
Thanks,
hugh

G'day mate,
Love the look of this, just wondering how big the figs were when you started fusing them? Did they have any branches when you started? I have a heap of 2 year old P J figs that I was thinking of doing something similar to this with. Any suggestions would be great
