Yea the size of the leaves on your shohin fig work so well, love it.

I dont like my small figs after seeing this one now :tounge: , it makes the scale of my trees slightly out of proportion haha.

Finally my large willow leaf is breaking bud! winter had been hard on my figs especially the willowleafs losing branching on 2 shohins even in the hothouse. Pics aint the best but got to love the new growth. The heavy cut back last summer proved effective with lots of new branching in 1 season for down here. A pic to show the size also next to yours truly (what a handsome dude LOL)

That fig is looking great, Comparing your first pic to this one, it has massed up heaps in the last two years and the base has fused even more. Must be getting just the right TLC. cheers Ash

That has certainly improved and hopefully :fc: no more frosts. The puppy dog looks decidedly disinterested though.

Hi Matthew,
Mate you have some great trees there :tu: I also have a large willow leaf which looks very similar to yours. I lost one off the lower back main branches this year also thankfully its starting to bud there again.

The willowleaf has been spending time at the national collection for its 2nd year now. Leigh tells me it is doing great. It is due for a repot sometime and hopefully he is doing it (saves me LOL) Funny that i haven't missed it yet  . Im due to repot most of my figs in the next two weeks and defoliate. Just got to find some time atm. :(

Just a bit of a update . This tree spent some time at the national collection a few years ago and has been back in my possession since . Just did a bit of a tidy up for autumn and now getting ready last ferts before winter. This tree spends 6 or so months in the hothouse as winter here knocks it hard if left exposed .It fruited heavily this year as well.
