Sorry Andrew. The winner was someone in Boondall.

The show turned out great. The Chinese Elm Root over rock was the show favourite.

Thanks to all that came. I will get some more pics up once I get my camera back.

Glad to hear it was a success.

Unfortunately couldn't make it with our meeting Saturday and kids footy and ABC Gardening Show on Sunday. Hope you got a few from the ABC show as we sure gave out some brochures.

Would love to see some more pics guys.

Tony

Greetings,
Thanks for the positive comments. I thought the members and the club put on a great show. The restrictions on display and sale space did not seem to be a problem. For those who noticed the smell in the kitchen, it has gone, with no reason found. It was not a dead rat behind the stove.
Pup, Gibs tree recieved the President's award, a very nicely styled buxus. The Chinese elm root over rock, not only recieved the President's highly commended award but also the public popular tree vote. Second in the popular tree vote was another chinese elm from Bundy, the big almost formal upright. Third was the big black pine. Congratulations to all those who displayed trees.
The members at the show all liked the swampy on the plinth.
Emoska, the member who was selling the figs you liked, has more. Why not join the club and get to know the grower?
Ask who walked into the ladder rack on his own ute?
There were 57 trees, 15 suiseki and 8 accent plants. There were very few figurines, only one green frog, one lion and three kangaroos.
There will be a gallery of most trees on Bimer's web site soon.
Tony, thanks for handing out the flyers, sorry you missed a good show.
Thanks to everybody who supported and helped make the show a big success.
Happy bonsai,
Bruce

I have a #92 sitting on my desk at work! I spent a good couple of minutes instructing my work mates on the importance of branch placement when we were shaping ours. They ignored me, but mine looks fantastic compared to theirs. Some really nice wooden trees here too.....
