The tree as of today ;
height - 550mm
width - 580mm
depth - 450mm
base - 130mm
Pot;
300x 230 100mm unglazed rectangle.
I removed a substantial amount of roots to allow the use of this pot.

That is a very special tree now mate I would be very proud of it. I think the pot suits it well, it brings out the trunk and the Masculine feel of the tree, and dose not over power or understate.

It is a pipper Craig and that pot makes the tree look even more grand

A pipper , that's a new one for me

here's what i removed in the way of roots, as you can see it's a big stump

, so i've planted it and hopefully it shoots like crazy and i may be able to develop a nice clump.

just read through the lot this is amazing I love this tree the area were my parents live (and i grew up) has very few mels but has had lots of fires over the years and that is so much a part of what it looked like the general area if u went for a walk in the bush 6months - 2years later depending on the severity of fire and area u visited. Fantastic work how did the sprouting from roots go??

Hi Craig, pitty the root cutting didn't take.
I was looking forward to see how this Raph was doing, and I was surprised to see that you sold this tree...I hope it has gone to a good home!

He sold the tree to me and it's my pride and joy, I've been trying to learn all I can from Craig about mels. I will post a pic here when I get a chance.

Craig,
This is anothe great mel. You seem to have this species all sorted out. All these pictures of mels has inpired me to get my first lot going which is a group planting of quinquinerveas???( spelling)
I will posts some picks up when I get a chance and get you to comment. You will be the go to man for melaleucas I think.

My main issue is collecting the other 230 odd species that i don't have yet

,
I just take what i hear , see and get told and put it into practise mate, alot to learn still,, alot.
I only have 1 collected quinquenervia at present, look forward to seeing yours mate
