Hi Miyagiman,
They are looking better everytime I see them, I love the recent carving work.
Do you plan to change the front of the recently carved tree (photos show a couple of different angles but not front on)
perhaps they were just the best photos?

Hi Gerard, these photos came out the best to show the carving and branch wiring, I have a couple of final fronts in mind. If I can get the tree to northwest on monday night, I will be able to run them past you guys there and get some opinions. This tree needs to be seen in the flesh to be able to get the 3-d effects necessary for the final decision.
Hi Bodhi, good to see you back, hope you enjoyed your visual torture in Japan. The pot came from Orient Bonsai Nursery many years ago and has patina'd up nicely. Cheers, miyagiman.

Hi Myiagiman
Your trees are splendid and I admire all you southerners for the patience you have while you are just looking at bare branches for so long...I guess this is your opportunity for wiring and shaping. I used to live in Adelaide (until I was 12)..so that was a long long time ago

My memories of our garden were plum and apricot trees, and I also remember almond and cherry growing in other areas.. Why don't you use some of these other species, are they not suitable for bonsai???
cheers Loretta

hi freckl, sorry to say that I have not done any photos of these trees since, my life got turned upside down for a couple of years, and my trees have suffered as well. They are all still alive, but it took some hard work to bring them back to health.
I love my plum trees and have also acquired a couple of yamadori newbies, when I am able I would like to update these trees on this post and start enjoying bonsai again.
regards, miyagiman.
