Re: Ledanta Virtual Competition - November 2009
Thanks for being so patient.
The judges votes are in and I have tallied the results. Once again - a very close contest with some brilliant virts - a few of which I would be stoked to be able to create in reality.
Thanks to all who have entered, next month's victim wont be far away - hopefully we will get a stack more people involved. Dont forget - there are great prizes each month and a fantastic grand final after 12 months.
This months winner is:
ASH - well done mate - a brilliant virt.
Extremely close runners up are:
Aaron
Jamie
DavidN
Ash - get in touch with me via PM to let me know what you have chosen from the prize cupboard and let me know your postal address.
See you next month!
Leigh.

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Re: Ledanta Virtual Competition - November 2009
Hey Jamie - I was thinking of a monster Magnolia. It would be a good one for those that want to do a bare tree / a bare tree with flowers / and a tree in foliage.
What do you think?
Leigh.

Cheers Ash on such a top job!
I'd be happy to have a go at both, make it a double header for 2010.

Re: Ledanta Virtual Competition - November 2009
Thanks Leigh! And the Judges! And all the entrants for your encouraging comments!
A Prize
Wow
Well done to everyone who put in an entry- there are some great ideas out there and it is a great competition- glad I dropped in. I noticed a couple of comments on back branches and use of photoshop so I will shortly post a quick series of pics on how I drew the ones on this tree- it was much simpler than it looks and is just done with an eraser. This image was done in adobe photoshop which we recently acquired- never trust a photo of my bonsai again
have fun
Ashley
