Those scissor-lift trolleys look great! must make things a lot easier, that and the extra space

Cheers, Ryan

I have had onefor a couple of years cost about 400 bucks and it is the best bit of gear ever!!
Use itall the time. Some of my figs are pretty big and it makes shifting them around and pruning and defoliating them on your own easy . It comes in handy for working on smaller bonsai just lift to theheight you need do thework nomore bending over good back all the time

Re: What I saw at the NBPCA today!
While Grant and Leigh are swanning around, looking official and Going To Meetings, there are about 40 or 50 volunteers who actually keep the place running, making sure each bud shoots at exactly the right place, every time, that sort of thing. (Yes, it's a joke.)
This is what I saw at the NBPCA on my last shift. It's been crazy busy, but I had a couple of moments for photos.
The base of just one of the three monster Banksias:
Will's Huon Pine starting to fruit:
A Banksia shoot:
Furry Lepto leaves:
The only real downside is going home and looking at the crap I've got lying around the back yard... Ah well.

Hi Gavin,
I will reveal the new Banksia integrifolia to the world pretty soon. It sure is mighty fine.

Just when I thought the NBPCA couldn't get any better. That is a beautiful dog!
So the Redwood turns to the Bonsai and says "Lend me a Tenner"......

She was very reminiscent of my Rottweiler (Bruce) that died about 12 years ago.
He was also a very gentle soul.

Is she getting a job as the security system? She'd be a popular addition.

Hmm, armed Rottweilers would definitely be a deterrent,GavinG wrote:Is she getting a job as the security system? She'd be a popular addition.

A guard dog would be a great addition, but I think they would get too distracted by thinking about how to pee on the trees.

Hi Everyone
We have recently returned from a trip to Sydney. On our travels we met with some wonderful people, and picked up some great new bonsai to show off at the NBPCA. Here are some pics.
Cheers
Leigh.
