This baby has thumped away as if nothing happened
The live veins have established themselves & its laying down lots of nice new callous so its time to get in & do some refining in the next few weeks. I have already split the two branches on the left & will work to put a little more space between them over time with a combination of more carving & then using wedges & gradually increasing the gap over a few months until I am happy with the negative space.

The last 18mths in the ground has been good for this tree, today was time to dig & get it back into a pot, albeit a big one. The eventual front is probably somewhere between these 2 pics, as its not light to move around & not easy to set up a background these pics will have to do.

Hopefully digging will send it into a brief dormancy & while bare I can see what branching I have to remove.
