G'day Rudy and a belated welcome to AusBonsai!
What a brilliant restyle! Very inspiring. Well done to you and your mystery helpers
P.S. When are we going to see the restyle of your other Radiata?
Regards,
Steven

Nows the time, they don't seem to mind being dug up, I have even taken them without any soil just bare roots and they've survived.

Hi and thanks for the interest.
The tree is looking good but still a fair amount of work to do. Filled out very nicely and quickly. I've pruned the new growth after the restyle about Dec 2010 then again at about March? 2011 then the third time in first week of Dec 2012. It has responded very nicely and will now thin out the new growth any time now.
The wire has been removed and will be rewired this year now that it has a basic form and also repotted into a larger pot. It's already a two man job to shift......I've purchased my own home now after renting so am trying to figure out where to permanently place it.
I've attached a pic of it taken in October last year before wire removal and pruning. Excuse the yard, I'm working on it, It's going to have a Japanese flavour.
Regards
Rudy

Hi Rudy,
I am not sure how I missed this one
Possibly the largest radiata I have seen on the web and probably real life too. I think the tree responded quite well to the last styling. It overall shape looks better than the original picture too.
I am just wondering if you have any plans for the two stubs that are still visible?
Thank you for posting such a stunning pine and best regards.

Just spotted this post.

What an incredible tree. Most of us, me includes will go a lifetime without owning such a tree. You are one lucky man Rudy. The tree is great tribute to you and your patience. I look forward to seeing some updates on this fine specimen over the years to come.

All,
Thanks for the kind words. The tree has some work to be done, including the stubs, these will probably become Jins at the next rewire, now need to start looking for a bigger pot.
Does anyone know of where I can get a rectangle pot about 84 x 64 x 15cm, something that is interesting such as japanese inscribing. I hear that Bonsai Orient on Mahoneys Rd is a good place to try.
Thanks again
Rudy

Hi Bodhi,
Sorry for some reason i missed your reply. Can you post some measurements of the pots. The dimentions I'm after are inside of the pot and are negotiable depending on pot. Hope you do as i visited you late last year and loved your place and bought a cool bamboo. I'm due in that part of the country either this or next week end and would love to pay another visit.
Regards
Rudy
