Lovely bit of work, Craig.
The branches are bit too straight and horizontal for me, but that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful!

G'day Roger,

I know where your coming from . This is one thing i have been thinking about since i bought the group. As it cost a pretty penny to secure it, i have been fairly conservative in my approach to how i go about changing it for the better. Realistically it is a "far view" goup at looks best viewed form 4-5 meters away, but as many aren't concerned with standing back to view, it needs to have a "near view" which looks good aswell. I have been working to build sub branches so i can do away with the straight sections of primary's, i realise that some branches are out of proportion to the trunks aswell - you have given me some more thinking to do.

. I think you would like to see more upwards growing branches , especially higher in the trees. Sparser amount of branches and generally a more natural casuarina feel to the group :lost:Thanks mate

Good evening Craig,
I cannot articulate it, but the change of "pot" (or rather the slap) is a very genius move on your part, it is very eye-caching and it accentuates the root base on the trunks. I am guessing also that, if the colour of pot medium was a lighter one such as diatomite, it would feel wrong too -- in the context of this slap and this setting. I am wondering if it is your intention to use such colour for the mix?
Best regards.
P.S. I forgot to say that you will need a stand too match

thankyou Daiviet, the colour of the mix is akadama and carnarvon river sand, and is the normal colour of my mix. Ahh yes a stand would be nice although i don't know if the group will stay on the slab of not. With this extreme heat during summer watering is a definate issue.
and on a side note with only 28 views it seems i won't show this group again here ........
