Have you thought about tilting to the left?
Did a virt with it rotated 45 Deg to bring the trunk more upright to highlight the twistiness of it
Of course the foliage will look substantially different from this tho

Perhaps remove the left section and then see what you have before commiting to any more trunk bending.
It looks like you will still have a lot to play with design wise once that section is gone.
See what that looks like and then consider your options including more trunk bending.
I am sure that other members will have some more precise guidance.
Cheers, Dario.

Gday KC!

Unfortunately, the angle at which the trunk exits the soil makes it difficult to tilt any further to the left. As it is, the first bit of trunk is virtually lying on the soil. If I follow through with my latest plan, I will be able to stand the trunk up a little more to the right.

Gday Dario!

Well played! My plan would be to layer off that branch, in which case the layering container would get in the way of any further bending. I hope to get to the layering later today, so that I might remove the branch before Winter hits (although it feels like Winter already  ).

Thanks gents!

Fly.

Any chance of an update on this one Fly? I would love to see how the layer turned out for you and how the tree is doing now.

Hey Fly

Not sure if your still active in this forum, if so wondering if you could give me some insights with your tree, as I recently acquired this tree, it's very uninteresting stump but was looking to notch it up to create some sort of movement. any other advice would be appreciated

Cheers
Ben
