First pair: #1 was decandled last summer but is otherwise similar in age and shape. Hope they will be a reasonable match.

Second pair - the B team:

And the 3rd pair - a couple of very young seedlings:

Will feed the 1s tomorrow then wait for the spreadsheet to see if I can use results from all 3 pairs or whether I have to pick one of the pairs.
Pines 1a 1b 2a 2b conform to the requirements for the study.

You will be able to alter/expand the spreadsheet to accommodate 2 sets of trees if you wish; if I get the Apple vs Microsft stuff worked out.

Yes,

That spreadsheet was a sample(non alterable PDF) for any comments or discussion.

If I don't get any comments I will send out the full live version in some form.

Hi Grant,
It looks good to me at this stage. If it needs some tweaks later, I don't see that being a problem.

I will consider additions that may vary from place to place and are affected by fertiliser timing;but I am not over riding normal routines like wiring, needle thinning etc.

Bud selection is considered later on in parts 2 or 3, decandling part 2 etc.

I suspect the timing of some of this procedures might be affected by fertilizing regime...but we shall see as we progress.
I think it is good for me since it will help me decide on a future better management of my trees.

Hi all,

Those of you who are helping with the JBPTrial and coming to Bonsai By The Harbour should say Hi on the day at BBTH and we could all have a quick get together on the balcony to say Hi to each other.
