Could only be there for about 40 mins but picked up some absolute bargains! Would have loved to stick around and have a chat to everyone but I was lucky to even get there....

Got to meet Tien from Bonsai Sensation briefly. Great guy. Will definitely have to visit your nursery one day mate! Thank for the awesome Lebanese cedar and twisty squamata!

Also thanks to whoever sold me the 40 year old manturian pear! Me and my mother adore it.....

Picked up an awesome shohin azalea from Sue Brennan too....

Great job Steven and everyone else who was involved. Filling the money box for next year.... [GRINNING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Got this Squamata from Baloc Bonsai today at AusBonsai Community Market Day - $90 was well spent for 7 yr raw juniper to style formal upright.
Going to start a progression topic in Progression Series soon about my current noob collection :D :reading:
Was nice to see how it was like for the first time and definitely going again when the next market day is on in NSW.

I picked up a few little bargains, met a few people. Lots of amazing stock that went very quick. Lots and lots of pots as well.
Have a few $$ saved so on the look out for more!

A very big thank you to Steven and all the sellers. What an awesome day with some great stock to be had.

Filled my wish list of a large raw jbp from mason from bonsai by the bay and an awesome raw juniper from from Ric (I think). Both great stock to develop which is what I was after. Also a wisteria from ken (kcpoole) for a flowering bonsai. (Thanks ken. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment from this one. And I'm sure the wife will love it too)

Also got some jbp and maple seedlings, some supplies and some pots. Got to the pots a bit late so missed some of the best picks but as the large jbp was my first priority I'm totally happy.

Met a few people but time goes so fast didn't talk to as many as I would have liked. And some conversations cut short due to others also wanting to talk to the same.

Tien(bonsai sensation) had some amazing stock (if only I had a few thousand dollars to spare) and was happy to share information on how they got to that state (if only I had heaps more time to chat).

All in all a great day. Well worth the 500km trip and will start saving for next year.

Ps good luck with the new pine sno. Hope the inspiration comes and you can make it wonderful.

Sounds like a very successful day Steven.
I recognize the names of sellers from as far away as Melbourne.
Buyers from Coffs :o and Crackenback

Great to hear Ausbonsai spreading the bonsai message far and wide :D Well done everyone :tu:

Saw you today Ken, didn't introduce myself when I walked by twice because you were talking to someone and felt bad for interupting your conversation.
I was wearing a pink jacket hovering around your pumice, zeolite, diaomite
you should have clipped me around the ear and say Hi :-)
I will talk all day about Bonsai and Soil

If you need any info on Substrates then let me know.
