Hi Everyone

Just a quick note to let you know that spaces are quickly disappearing for Tony's Friday afternoon presentation.
Seats are limited for this event, once I reach capacity, I will no longer be allowed to accept further bookings.
This is the FREE event (funded by the Bonsai Trust Fund) at 1:30pm on Friday 24th March.

We have a much larger capacity for the Gala Cocktail Event and Demonstration by Tony (5:30pm Friday 24th March), however, we have a cut off for ticket sales of 17 March.
Do not leave your ticket purchase till the last minute. Cost is $45 and is a subsidised cost, covering food and drink only. The rest of the evening is funded by the Bonsai Trust Fund.

For all bookings, please call 02 6207 8484 (from 9am till 4pm - 7 days).

Regards
Leigh

Hi Everyone

Just a quick heads-up for those intending on making the trek to the NBPCA for Bonsai Week 2017.

There are now only 20 spots left for the Friday Afternoon presentation by Tony Tickle "From Mountain To Exhibition".
Once these final tickets go, there will be no more.

Call 6207 8484 to book.

Cheers
Leigh

Pat K wrote:Just expanding on the pot expo.
There are now eleven potters involved in showcasing their wares. Should be very interesting --- I'm certainly looking forward to it. As well as the static display of pots, there are going to be pottery demos ---- how often and the potters involved I'm not quite sure as we're from all over the country. I'm going to be there all week so maybe I'll be watch-on-stop-on.
I hope not!!!

Cheers, and come and say hello,
Pat
Hi Pat, any hints as to who are taking part in the pot expo?

Well, there's me and......

Come on potters, sell yourselves.....add your name to the list.
I can tell you, JJ, that one of the original eleven has pulled out, but others have joined us. There are now 13 potters stepping up.
1 from the ACT, 7 from NSW, 1 from SA, 1 from QLD, 3 from Vic.

Cheers, Pat

Hey Jumping Jack, to answer your question, I'm Tracey from Murrumbung Studio Ceramics and I will have pots on show.
I'm madly trying to get stuff ready at the moment so I have a range to select from when it comes time.
What are people looking forward to seeing?? I am having trouble deciding from round, oval, freeform, rectangular, crescent, large/small, glazed, unglazed etc etc....

Thank you, Ken!
The freeform ones I get asked for quite a bit; but they do seem to be a 'love it or hate it' kinda thing!

I am really looking forward to working with you guys next month. My presentation "from Mountain to Exhibition" features the tree that won the 'Best Deciduous' Bonsai at the prestigious Noelanders Trophy this month. https://yamadori.co.uk/2017/02/07/the-b ... ophy-2017/

Fabulous, Tony!
And very nice to see you here in Oz. I hope you won't have too much trouble with jet lag. You probably won't remember, but we met in 2001 at the WBFF Convention in Munich. I have followed with great pleasure your bonsai adventures, as told on the IBC Forum. How is your wonderful Escallonia going? Wish I could have dug up one of the shrubs in my Escallonia hedge for your demo here, but it's a bit late for that. I trust you will enjoy your stay here, and have lots of fun!

Hi Lisa, 2001 was quite a while ago... but I NEVER forget a friendly face. As for jet lag, I am arriving a few days early before the event so that i would be 'fresh' during the time I am with you.

Does not seem anyone is interested in selling this event, I bumped it up a few weeks ago and got into trouble, seems like the potters are very quiet too Pat.
Looking forward to seeing you do your magic down there, maybe you might be on your own.

Hi Tracey, I follow you on Insta, love your beautiful & uniquely :flag: pots, the second reminds me of a piece of rotted trunk laying on the forest floor, moss & a few weeds all that's missing.

Tony, congratulations on a deserved win for a stunning composition, the pot :worship: Hope you enjoy your visit.

Thank you for the kind words jumping_jack - it's always nice to hear what people think of my pots AND that they follow my work on Insta!!
I only started putting photos on Instagram originally because my business mentor suggested I do, but I get great feedback from it.
It is getting so that it almost rivals my Murrumbung Studio Ceramics FB page now- too many platforms for my struggling potter's brain!
