Thanks Rory and Mel - much appreciated. It’s a close run thing (for me) - these are really fun to work with and keeping the leaves small will always be a challenge. Friends who visit our home are attracted to the Moonah and Swamp p’bark entries but I think that is because of their resemblance to some of the wind blown, dense, ground hugging trees spread across the Old Course and other courses at the National GC. Over winter I am going to wire the tips of those entries to continue the gnarly shape up through the tips … again, an excellent comp that has really opened my eyes to the possibilities of natives.
