Good news is I have found a carrier at reasonable cost. Now I will have to see if the guy has any left after the convention.
I am sending a large tree to Victoria for $450-00 It is a metre and a bit high by 850cm wide weighs about 35klgs about 6 days so this time of year will not be a problem.
