The ochre did come very nice, I'm going to try it on a crackpot on Friday.

I don't usually like a white clay but my local supplier has a clay of the month special and at $5 for 25lbs I couldn't go wrong.

Out of the kiln on Friday. A 12" wide x 1.5" deep oval, was so excited when it came out of the kiln in one piece (2 others cracked) that I staged it before taking a photo of the pot empty

This is my current setup. Light tent, daylight bulbs, black graduated background, tripod and Canon 40d/28-70mm f2.8 lens. Cost was around $400 (camera not included)


The graduated background really adds depth to the photo, gives a slight 3 dimensional look and makes the subject the focal point drawing your eyes in.

This is my first setup using a point and shoot camera, some pvc, an old bed sheet, black art paper and two desk lamps. Cost less than $40us to make

I seen the set up luan had when i went there sunday and was quiet suprized at how easy it all looked, i love the set up with the pvc piping and i will go that way for now at $40 i have most of that sitting around the shed.

and your pots are great they will inhance any tree and the pot will just blend in

is that a 'elephant foot' succulent in your lighting tent? The plant in the photo where you describe your current setup with graduated background.

The tree in the tent is a Bursera, from same location (Baja) as the elephant tree( Pachycormus discolor).

This is an Elephant tree I acquired in a trade last year
