Good job mate.
I wish Ray

I have tried to enlist the help of some people but they burn out pretty quickly.
Sammy D wrote:Well done mate the planting looks awesome. Like some ancient old woods somewhere. Love it. If I can make them half as good as you one day I will be happy. Lets see in another 20 years ey;-) inspirational. Amazing work well done.

A quick update on this windswept group before i clean it up. i thought i would capture it weeds and all before i get stuck into it. It responded very well to its defoliation and i will have double the wiring over Winter, mainly secondary branching. I think the positioning of the trees are good and the little rear tree did not miss a beat. I will post again when it is rewired and tidied up in a month or two

Bodhidrama, I like the wild appearence of this composition. My congartulations.
If I may offer an obsevartion?
I realize it is a bit hard to tell from just on-screen viewing, but if the taller tree on the right was removed from that position and brought left close to the main tree but behind it (slightly to the back of it-if you follow), I believe it could give greater gravity to the main tree (main focal point) and also create an even greater sense of perspective in relation to the smaller elements.

( I'm going by your most recent pic)

Looking really nice Bodhidharma.
I'd like to see hollow at the front of the main tree expanded up the trunk a bit. Do you think this is a possibility?

Thanks for the input Treeman

The right hand group is a raft, thus on the same root system. i have had the same perspective and the single tree in the middle is getting heavily fed to accelerate its growth and it will be put on a mound. The problem i had was the tree originally earmarked for that position was larger and better developed but was stolen and i had to make do. It will change over the next ten years.

Now that I know some of it is a raft it is just academic but no not quite like that. It looks a bit too even that way. I meant much tighter in so the gap between the 2 trees is only a couple of centermeters.
There are all kinds of possible variations really.
