perhaps not kill but definitely maim a little

The organizing committee would like some feedback.

Is 10.00am till 1.00pm the best option.

We have a huge turnout at opening time and the crowd dwindles to almost nothing for the last hour.

Is two hours sufficient?

Do those people who travel from country Victoria and Southern NSW struggle with the 10.00 am start. (that is where the best bargains are)

Do people prefer an early start so they can have the rest of the day to do other things.

Suggestions: 10.00am - 1.00pm
10.00am - noon
11.00am - 2.00pm

Bear in mind that next year will be 4 weeks prior to Hirotoshi Saito's visit, with more than 100 workshops positions available in two weeks. If you need a "project tree" this will be a good opportunity. (I will need 4 or 5 trees to cover the worksops which I an hoping to take)

I live in Melbourne and found the 10am start a good time, not too early and not too late. I was there before opening and found that most of the great bargins were gone within about 15 mins. I think 2 hours is sufficient.

One another side note, I had a great time and was very happy with my purchases....felt a little sorry for the guys out the back who didn't get much attention though.

Yep, sure do have to get there before the buzzer, I got there 10:15 and couldn't believe how many people were there... definately a sale

Agree with Nick, the guys out back were tucked away a bit, and almost all the sellers had stock hidden under there tables, You guys might need a bigger venue - I'm sure you'd attract both more sellers and buyers

Hi all,
I really enjoyed checking out all the bonsai related items for sale. I think 2 hours is more than enough. I was there first thing and really wasn't after anything in particular and just hoping that a certain seller was going to be there (unfortunately he wasn't) but still enjoyed looking around all the tables and catching up with everyone. I was drawn to a beautiful mini trident maple by Richard S and kept an eye on it for a while. After 30mins it was still there and I made an offer and it was accepted. The tree was mine!!! A little wire and trimming and it will be show ready next year. Also picked up a ridiculously cheap trident root over rock!!!

A good point from Ryan, I was unsure with some of the sellars stock that was under the table whether it was actually for sale, was a little awkward.

The first Ausbonsai person to arrive was "buzza"

Stock under tables was usually for sale if price tickets are intact, once sold price tickets should be removed.

David: I saw that trident you were carrying around it was a nice pick up.Did anyone pick this one up?

Hi all sale day was great made the trip from Geelong very worthwhile, although i was looking for some larger
Pre bonsai stock to take to the don DeLuca workshop wasn’t much but lots of bargains up for sale.
Here’s a swampy i picked up that was in major, major need of a repot and i no now’s not the right time but i heard they
Are tuff buggers so i went ahead, i uncovered some nice roots, bonus, and reported it into 80% debco bonsai mix
And 20% coco peat to hold some more moisture, I’m soaking it in seasol and hope it thanks me for it.
